Darren is an Executive in our Court of Protection team, where he undertakes case work and executive work for our clients.

This team is at the heart of our service to our professional Deputyship clients.  It is their role to provide advice and support to clients and their families on the end of a phone, by email or in person.  They make sure the that day to day management of the client's financial lives is looked after - from arranging mobile phones, to paying bills, insuring vehicles and properties or even helping with arranging holidays.

Darren has over ten years’ experience within the Court of Protection field, joining Hugh Jones Solicitors in January 2018. Darren started his legal career as an office assistant and around four years ago was promoted to become a Case Worker, then Executive, where he manages the client's affairs under the guidance of the Deputy. In this time he has gained valuable experience, assisting  with a range of clients including those with head injuries and  elderly clients living in care.

As part of our Executive team, Darren assists senior members of the team with their cases and also 

• Working with the Deputy to manage the financial and property affairs of clients who lack capacity
• Supporting lay deputies to help them carry out their role, including initial or renewal applications

Darren works with clients, their families and any professionals involved to empower the injured person and aim in improving their quality of life with the implementation of care/support teams, therapists and the purchase and adaptation of properties.
