We are looking for an experienced Court of Protection Costs draftsperson to join our firm.  The successful candidate will deal with all aspects of Court of Protection annual billing, to join our busy Billing Team (currently 3).  The role is full time and can be undertaken on a hybrid working basis (with at least 2 days per week working in the office).

The successful candidate will report to the Court of Protection Billing Manager and will centre around the billing for our 360+ deputyship clients, and duties will include:-

• Drafting Court of Protection Deputyship and Administration Bills of Costs including for applications such as Deputyship, General Management, Statutory Wills, Gift Applications. and ad hoc applications.
• Dealing with and calculating assessments
• Dealing with Appeals process
• Preparing final cost certificates

At least 2 years' experience of Court of Protection bill drafting will be required, including knowledge of Court of Protection procedures and SCCO practice and procedure.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team and has a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.  Strong organisational skills, including document collation will be essential.

We will provide training and support, including with any further costs drafting qualifications for suitable staff.
