Rachel is a solicitor and head of HR and Compliance and Regulation for Hugh Jones Solicitors.
Rachel helped Hugh Jones set up the practice in 2013, having previously been a partner at Pannone LLP for many years, where she was head of Operations, responsible for HR, Compliance, Regulation and IT - she was Director of HR for the seven year period when Pannone was the highest placed law firm in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to work for.
Rachel joined Pannone in 1992 as a trainee solicitor, having previously worked in commercial management with Marks and Spencer, following her graduation from St Hugh's College, Oxford with an MA (Hons) in Modern History. Rachel practised as a commercial litigator, specialising in solicitors' professional negligence litigation, becoming a partner in 1998.
At Hugh Jones Solicitors, she and her team provide HR advice and employment services for large number of directly employed support workers who look after some of our Court of Protection clients. She has a particular interest in dementia support services and is the firm's representative on the Dementia Action Alliances in Bury, Manchester and Salford In addition, she works collaboratively with her fellow Directors to manage the practice. Rachel also undertakes Professional Deputyship work, specialising particularly in clients living with dementia and with complex property issues
Rachel is a recognised and authoritative public speaker and trainer and is regularly invited to present at a wide range of public and client events.
