Hugh Jones Solicitors, has promoted several team members and welcomed a new director to the board.
We've promoted Catherine Eassom to director following four successful years at Hugh Jones Solicitors working within the Court of Protection department. Catherine is also Head of the Expert Witness team and has an established expert witness practice where she is asked to provide advice and statements on all aspects of Court of Protection practice, costs and mental capacity issues. Catherine has an extensive background in working with clients who have suffered catastrophic injury, including serious brain injury as a result of personal injury.
The Legal 500-recommended lawyer assists clients and their families in managing large damages awards to maximise their rehabilitation and quality of life. Catherine is closely involved with the management of damages both pre- and post-settlement of the litigation and works closely with clients and their families to arrange care and therapy packages and ensure that funds are used effectively and in clients’ best interests.

The Court of Protection team – which has experienced a 31% year-on-year uplift in work – has also promoted Hayley Chesters, Kirsty Morley and Rachel Duxbury to senior associates. Elsewhere in the firm, Kathryn Mark Bell in the compliance team has also been promoted to senior associate.
