Martyn is a Case Worker and Welfare Benefits specialist in our Court of Protection team and is the firm's Welfare Benefits specialist.
Our Case Managers are at the heart of our service to our professional Deputyship clients. It is their role to provide advice and support to clients and their families on the end of a phone, by email or in person. They make sure the that day to day management of the client's financial lives is looked after - from arranging mobile phones, to paying bills, insuring vehicles and properties or even helping with arranging holidays.
Case Managers are often in very regular contact with clients and work as part of a team with a solicitor or executive on each professional deputyship matter, under the guidance of the Deputy.
As the firm's specialist Welfare Benefits Advisor, he advises both clients and other members of the Hugh Jones Solicitors team to ensure that clients receive the benefits to which they are entitled.
Before joining Hugh Jones Solicitors, Martyn had several years' experience of Court of Protection work. Previously, he had gained very useful legal experience as a conveyancer and dealing with debt recovery and private client work.
