Kate joined the Hugh Jones Solicitors Court of Protection team in July 2018 and became a Trainee Solicitor in January 2020. As part of the Court of Protection team, Kate’s role involves making applications for the appointment of a deputy to the Court of Protection and she assists Chris Gallagher and Georgina Rowley in the management of deputyships for our clients who lack capacity and on their other work.
Prior to joining Hugh Jones Solicitors, Kate worked as a paralegal in mental health law gaining experience working with vulnerable individuals and now uses those skills to assist clients who lack mental capacity. In her own time Kate become a Dementia Friend and particularly enjoys working with our clients who have been diagnosed with Dementia.
