Hugh Jones Solicitors wins prestigious STEP Private Client Award

Hugh Jones Solicitors has won the Vulnerable Client Advisory Practice of the Year category at the STEP Private Client Awards, which took place on 7th November 2018 in London.

Held by STEP, the worldwide professional association for those advising families across generations, the Awards are highly regarded as a celebration of excellence across the private client world. All entries go through a rigorous, practitioner-led judging process to select the best in the industry.

The Vulnerable Client Advisory Practice of the Year category had a strong set of finalists, with Hugh Jones Solicitors beating Anthony Gold, Bell & Buxton, Caroline Bielanska Consultancy, and Kingsley Napley to the prize.

The Judges said: ‘Hugh Jones Solicitors is a shining star in the private client firmament; their combination of top-level professionalism and competence with such a high level of personal attention is as admirable as it is rare.’

Congratulating all the winners, STEP worldwide chair, Patricia Wass TEP said, ‘The Private Client Awards are a marvellous way to promote and celebrate best practice and high standards. We have seen some excellent work over the last year, and our winners – and indeed our runners-up – should be proud of themselves. Our congratulations to them all.’

Over 600 private-client professionals and guests gathered for the Awards at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, which was hosted by TV presenter and former gymnast Gabby Logan.

The event supported Operation Smile for a second year. Donations from entrants raised nearly GBP72,000 for the charity, which provides free surgery for children and young adults born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.

The evening was sponsored by AP Executive, Bermuda Business Development Agency, Butterfield Trust, Capital Generation Partners, Close Brothers Asset Management, Crestbridge, Equiom Group (Europe), Intertrust, JTC, Katten Muchin Rosenman, Lyxor ETF, Rathbone Investment Management, Schroders Wealth Management, Seven Investment Management, Smith & Williamson Investment Management and Tilney.
