Full time vacancies for paralegals - Court of Protection

We are seeking to recruit full time paralegals for our Court of Protection (COP) team.  You may have experience as a paralegal already or if you have no experience,  be able to demonstrate an interest in mental capacity law through work experience or voluntary work.

Our paralegals work with our Solicitor teams to provide support with the opportunity to learn and gain invaluable experience.  Your role will include:

o   Attending client meetings to take notes and to action matters arising;

o   Research and drafting, including letters, court applications, witness statements et cetera;.

o   Liaising with clients, the court and other professionals to assist the solicitor team;

o   Attending Court with solicitors or Counsel

After two years as a paralegal, training contracts are available for those doing well in the paralegal role, no further application process will be required.

You will be able to work on a hybrid basis, with at least two days per week in the office (but more if we need you to or you prefer to), following your initial period of training and induction when you will work in the office for the majority of your time.  See here for more information on hybrid working. 

You will need to have successfully completed either a law degree or the PGDL.

As a specialist, award winning Court of Protection practice, we provide in house, bespoke training for all members of the firm in which you will be able to participate.  We have a strong ethos of internal recruitment with plenty of opportunity for internal development and progression to other roles.

Salary and benefits

 Salary:          £21,000
